David Tye was raised in Abbeville, Alabama, where his passion for homebuilding was kindled at a young age. As a child, he ventured into his grandfather's workshop, using extra wood and borrowed tools to construct treehouses in the surrounding woods. These formative experiences ignited a lifelong love for building and craftsmanship.
After high school, David pursued higher education, earning an associate's degree in Drafting and Design. During his studies, he excelled in several national competitions, securing awards at both state and national levels, which further fueled his enthusiasm for construction and design.
Motivated by a deep sense of patriotism and inspired by the sacrifices of others, David enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry. Over an eight-year military career, he held various leadership roles and became an expert in mission planning. His expertise led him to instruct U.S. Army Rangers in mission planning techniques and procedures—a testament to his dedication and leadership abilities.
Following his honorable military service, David continued his education at American Military University, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Management. This academic achievement equipped him with essential organizational and project management skills that have been invaluable in his career.
In 2015, David founded Abbie Creek Construction with a commitment to return to his roots and serve the community he calls home. His deep connection to the people and landscape of the Southeast United States has been instrumental in building the company into the success it is today. Abbie Creek Construction has become the preferred homebuilder for those seeking to create their forever homes and is recognized as a local leader in the industry.
Happily married to his wife, Katie, for 11 years, David is the proud father of five children. He is dedicated to building a homestead for his family and is committed to being a good steward of the land that has been in his family for over a century. By utilizing sustainable farming and ranching techniques, he ensures the land's health and productivity for future generations.
When not working, David devotes his time to raising his family, which continues to inspire and motivate him. He looks forward to making a lasting impact in the world of homebuilding, one project at a time.

Design + Operations Coordinator
Ashley grew up with a paintbrush in one hand and a hammer in the other as the daughter of parents whose weekend projects turned old houses into stories waiting to be told.
By age six, she was expertly maneuvering a wheelbarrow through dusty basements and sunlit backyards, absorbing lessons in structural integrity all while discovering the joy of transformation- long before she understood the word "design".
After graduating with honors in Communication and Art, Ashley embarked on a celebrated career as a writer and television producer. She earned awards for her creative flair, but it was behind the scenes- collaborating closely with the country's top interior designers, where she reignited her true calling. As executive producer and showrunner of a hit TBS makeover series, she balanced creative vision with logistical precision: educating through story, managing crews and complex timelines, all while orchestrating jaw-dropping transformations for millions of viewers each week.
While producing on-camera magic, Ashley was quietly renovating her homes in Atlanta. She recently rescued a 1920s bungalow and oversaw the build of her family's own home in Headland. Many of those projects -and her knack for blending original architecture and modern comforts-caught the eye of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, DIY Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, as well as HGTV.com. Each feature taught her that great design is equal parts creativity, empathy, and relentless attention to detail.
Since joining Abbie Creek, Ashley has poured every ounce of that experience into custom home design. She transforms clients' visions into structured, intuitive processes. Known for her meticulous eye- from millwork profiles to tile patterns- she ensures every decision aligns with budget, timeline, and the home's unique narrative. Under her coordination, the selections for each residence become a roadmap rather than a checklist. This eliminates surprises and keeps builds running smoothly.
Off the clock, Ashley and her family make their Abbie Creek home their happiest project yet- entertaining friends on the back porch, relaxing in the garden, and curating a serene interior that's just as inspiring as the beautiful landscape just outside her door.
